15enne già dal 2012 aveva accusato forti distrurbi in presenza di radiazioni, in particolare nella sua scuola in cui erano state installate le antenne per il wifi .
La famiglia non è riuscita a dialogare con la scuola dove veniva 'castigata' fisicamente ma anche moralmente per i suoi comportamenti 'anomali'.
Fino al suicidio: si è impiccata !
Alla faccia della scuola inglese !

E quella italiana ?  dove l'unico slancio per dare credibilità ad una scuola che  i test dell'OCSE  ha marchiato come scuola di basso livello, rispetto a quelle del mondo più avanzato , è quello di installare wifi a più non posso ...
Pur sapendo - notizie provenienti da BBC su studi dell'OECD (http://is.gd/y4laeu) - che l'informatica in classe ... non aiuta , anzi riduce la capacità di apprendimento.

I disturbi sofferti da questa povera ragazza inglese non sono legati ad una malattia rara, ma alla elettrosensibilità ad i campi elettrognetici.  Malattia non malattia che OMS nicchia a riconoscere ufficialmente e separamente da altre malattie 'ambientali'.

Interessante quanto viene riportato per le terapia:  oltre al primario, essenziale "evitamento" da fonti CEM, viene indicata la strategia di minimizzare gli effetti nocivi del perozynitrite prodotti dai CEM insieme ad altri fattori ambientali.
Infatti  loro propongono di inserire la EHS allo interno del gruppo delle malattie croniche multisistema.

Abstract


Chronic diseases and illnesses associated with unspecific symptoms are on the rise. In addition to chronic stress in social and work environments, physical and chemical exposures at home, at work, and during leisure activities are causal or contributing environmental stressors that deserve attention by the general practitioner as well as by all other members of the health care community. It seems certainly necessary now to take "new exposures" like electromagnetic field (EMF) into account. Physicians are increasingly confronted with health problems from unidentified causes.

Studies, empirical observations, and patient reports clearly indicate interactions between EMF exposure and health problems. Individual susceptibility and environmental factors are frequently neglected. New wireless technologies and applications have been introduced without any certainty about their health effects, raising new challenges for medicine and society. For instance, the issue of so-called non-thermal effects and potential long-term effects of low-dose exposure were scarcely investigated prior to the introduction of these technologies. Common EMF sources include Wi-Fi access points, routers and clients, cordless and mobile phones including their base stations, Bluetooth devices, ELF magnetic fields from net currents, ELF electric fields from electric lamps and wiring close to the bed and office desk. On the one hand, there is strong evidence that long-term-exposure to certain EMF exposures is a risk factor for diseases such as certain cancers, Alzheimer's disease and male infertility. On the other hand, the emerging electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) is more and more recognized by health authorities, disability administrators and case workers, politicians, as well as courts of law.

We recommend treating EHS clinically as part of the group of chronic multisystem illnesses (CMI) leading to a functional impairment (EHS), but still recognizing that the underlying cause remains the environment. In the beginning, EHS symptoms often occur only occasionally, but over time they may increase in frequency and severity. Common EHS symptoms include headaches, concentration difficulties, sleeping problems, depression, lack of energy, fatigue and flu-like symptoms.

A comprehensive medical history, which should include all symptoms and their occurrences in spatial and temporal terms and in the context of EMF exposures, is the key to the diagnosis. The EMF exposure can be assessed by asking for typical sources like Wi-Fi access points, routers and clients, cordless and mobile phones and measurements at home and at work. It is very important to take the individual susceptibility into account.

The primary method of treatment should mainly focus on the prevention or reduction of EMF exposure, that is, reducing or eliminating all sources of EMF at home and in the workplace. The reduction of EMF exposure should also be extended to public spaces such as schools, hospitals, public transport, and libraries to enable persons with EHS an unhindered use (accessibility measure). If a detrimental EMF exposure is reduced sufficiently, the body has a chance to recover and EHS symptoms will be reduced or even disappear. Many examples have shown that such measures can prove effective. Also the survival rate of children with leukemia depends on ELF magnetic field exposure at home.

To increase the effectiveness of the treatment, the broad range of other environmental factors that contribute to the total body burden should also be addressed. Anything that supports a balanced homeostasis will increase a person's resilience against disease and thus against the adverse effects of EMF exposure. There is increasing evidence that EMF exposure has a major impact on the oxidative and nitrosative regulation capacity in affected individuals. This concept also may explain why the level of susceptibility to EMF can change and why the number of symptoms reported in the context of EMF exposures is so large. Based on our current understanding, a treatment approach that minimizes the adverse effects of peroxynitrite - as has been increasingly used in the treatment of multisystem disorders - works best.

This EMF Guideline gives an overview of the current knowledge regarding EMF-related health risks and provides concepts for the diagnosis and treatment and accessibility measures of EHS to improve and restore individual health outcomes as well as for the development of strategies for prevention.

UK – Jenny Fry aveva 15 anni, ma una rara malattia l’ha portata a commettere suicidio. La ragazza era infatti allergica al Wi-Fi presente nella sua scuola, la Chipping Norton School di Oxon. Nel 2012, Jenny ha mostrato i primi segni di elettrosensibilità: soffriva di celafea, di stanchezza paralizzante e aveva problemi di vescica. La madre ha allora deciso di eliminare la connessione wireless dalla propria abitazione, ma la ragazza ha continuato a stare male.

Jenny ha anche cominciato ad avere problemi a scuola in quanto usciva spesso dalla classe per cercare un posto dove potersi sentire meglio. A causa di questo, veniva spesso mandata in punizione. La madre della ragazza ha raccontato: “Ho raccolto molte informazioni sulla scuola e le ho mostrate al preside, Simon Duffy, ma lui ha detto che aveva le stesse informazioni che dimostravano che la connessione Wi-Fi era sicura. Ho parlato anche con gli insegnanti per spiegare loro il problema di Jenny e che non aveva senso mandarla in detenzione in stanze dove avrebbe potuto star male”. A livello scolastico, però, non è stato apportato nessun cambiamento.


La polizia ha dichiarato che la mattina del suicidio Jenny ha scritto un messaggio ad un’amica dove spiegava che quel giorno non sarebbe andata a scuola. Purtroppo, la ragazza non aveva con sé il cellulare. Le forze dell’ordine sostengono comunque che non fosse possibile comprendere le intenzioni di Jenny, che è stata trovata impiccata nell’albero di fronte casa. “Non penso che volesse togliersi la vita – ha raccontato la madre – si sentiva frustrata ed esasperata e ha commesso un drammatico errore”. I genitori stanno ora portando avanti una campagna per sensibilizzare le persone sui pericoli del Wi-Fi.

il preside e la scuola si laveranno le mani visto che i limiti di esposizione non erano stati sicuramente (immagino) superati ... ma quali limiti ?    quelli per escludere gli effetti termici ?

Pubblicata la metodologia di certificazione del Prof Belpomme

Finalmente è stato pubblicato un articolo in cui  viene riportato svolto dal Prof Belpomme e ARTAC sulla loro procedura di certificazione della elettrosensibilità (e/o MCS).

Abstract
Much of the controversy over the causes of electro-hypersensitivity (EHS) and multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) lies in the absence of both recognized clinical criteria and objective biomarkers for widely accepted diagnosis. Since 2009, we have prospectively investigated, clinically and biologically, 1216 consecutive EHS and/or MCS-self reporting cases, in an attempt to answer both questions. We report here our preliminary data, based on 727 evaluable of 839 enrolled cases: 521 (71.6%) were diagnosed with EHS, 52 (7.2%) with MCS, and 154 (21.2%) with both EHS and MCS. Two out of three patients with EHS and/or MCS were female; mean age (years) was 47. As inflammation appears to be a key process resulting from electromagnetic field (EMF) and/or chemical effects on tissues, and histamine release is potentially a major mediator of inflammation, we systematically measured histamine in the blood of patients. Near 40% had a increase in histaminemia (especially when both conditions were present), indicating a chronic inflammatory response can be detected in these patients. Oxidative stress is part of inflammation and is a key contributor to damage and response. Nitrotyrosin, a marker of both peroxynitrite (ONOO°-) production and opening of the blood-brain barrier (BBB), was increased in 28% the cases. Protein S100B, another marker of BBB opening was increased in 15%. Circulating autoantibodies against O-myelin were detected in 23%, indicating EHS and MCS may be associated with autoimmune response. Confirming animal experiments showing the increase of Hsp27 and/or Hsp70 chaperone proteins under the influence of EMF, we found increased Hsp27 and/or Hsp70 in 33% of the patients. As most patients reported chronic insomnia and fatigue, we determined the 24 h urine 6-hydroxymelatonin sulfate (6-OHMS)/creatinin ratio and found it was decreased (<0.8) in all investigated cases. Finally, considering the self-reported symptoms of EHS and MCS, we serially measured the brain blood flow (BBF) in the temporal lobes of each case with pulsed cerebral ultrasound computed tomosphygmography. Both disorders were associated with hypoperfusion in the capsulothalamic area, suggesting that the inflammatory process involve the limbic system and the thalamus. Our data strongly suggest that EHS and MCS can be objectively characterized and routinely diagnosed by commercially available simple tests. Both disorders appear to involve inflammation-related hyper-histaminemia, oxidative stress, autoimmune response, capsulothalamic hypoperfusion and BBB opening, and a deficit in melatonin metabolic availability; suggesting a risk of chronic neurodegenerative disease. Finally the common co-occurrence of EHS and MCS strongly suggests a common pathological mechanism.

Interessante la possibilità americana di 'assemblare' in una vertenza altri casi simili: infatti il procedimento Murry ha consolidato altri 13 casi.

Questa causa che va avanti da 15 anni (e poi ci lamentiamo dell'Italia !!!) per un tecnico Motorola morto di cancro è importante perché  altri 17 vertenze sono in attesa ...

Alicia Mitchell was 15 years old when her father sued Motorola Inc., alleging the company’s cellphones caused his brain tumor. She’ll turn 30 in February and the lawsuit is still winding its way through court.

In the years since the lawsuit was filed, other plaintiffs have brought more than two dozen similar cases, the most recent one in October. Defendants include almost all the major cellphone and wireless companies, including AT&T Inc., Verizon Communications Inc., Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co.

Representatives for Motorola and the other defendants referred questions to the CTIA, the wireless industry trade group, which said in a statement that “peer-reviewed scientific evidence has overwhelmingly indicated that wireless devices do not pose a public health risk for adults or children.”

So far, the cases have mostly been a battle over legal procedure, not science. Ms. Mitchell’s father’s lawsuit, Murray v. Motorola, faces another test Tuesday when the sides argue over what legal standard should be applied when evaluating evidence brought by scientists.

The case is being closely watched, as it would have ramifications not only for what evidence could be admitted in other cellphone cases, but it could also set a new precedent in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Ms. Mitchell’s father, Michael Murray, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 1999, after spending several years working at Motorola as a handset technician. He and his wife sued Motorola in 2001. He died in 2003.

Jeffrey Morganroth, a lawyer representing the Murrays, has brought several other cases against Motorola and other defendants. A total of 13 cases have been consolidated into the Murray case, and the plaintiffs are seeking more than $1.9 billion in damages combined.
In filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, cellphone manufacturers and wireless carriers specifically acknowledge the risk posed by health-related lawsuits. “We may incur significant expenses in defending these lawsuits,” Verizon wrote in its 2015 annual filing. “In addition, we may be required to pay significant awards or settlements.”

Through the years, the Murray case has withstood several motions to dismiss and an effort to transfer it to federal court. In August 2014, Judge Frederick H. Weisberg of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia ruled that testimony from five scientists could be admitted to the trial.

The defendants appealed, arguing the court should have used a different legal standard, known as Daubert, when deciding whether to admit the testimony from scientists. Judge Weisberg relied on a evidentiary standard known as Frye. On Tuesday, a panel of judges at the District of Columbia Court of Appeals is expected to hear oral arguments on the matter. Under the Frye standard, the court may only look at the methodology researchers use to determine whether their testimony can be admitted. Under the Daubert standard, judges have more discretion to consider other factors.

“This is a marathon,” said Mr. Morganroth, the lawyer for the Murrays. Eight of the plaintiffs in other cases have died while the lawsuits have been pending, he said. A decision in favor of Motorola and the other defendants, which are pushing for the Daubert standard, would send ripples beyond the Murray lawsuit. Seventeen of the other cellphone-health cases are stayed pending a ruling in this case.
Judge Weisberg wrote in his August 2014 decision that testimony from the scientists he found admissible under Frye would “almost certainly be excluded under Daubert.”

“The consensus throughout the scientific community is that the present state of science does not permit any definitive answer to the question of whether cellphone, [radio-frequency] radiation causes cancer or any other adverse health effects,” Judge Weisberg wrote in that decision.

If the plaintiffs prevail, discovery will begin on the broad issue of whether cellphones can cause brain tumors, specifically, glioma and acoustic neuroma. In addition, the plaintiffs would need to prove cellphones caused the cancer in their specific cases.

U.S. government agencies, such as the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Federal Communications Commission, all say there is no conclusive evidence that cellphones cause cancer, or any other harmful effects. The agencies say further research is needed. In 2013, the FCC began reviewing whether cellphone safety standards, first designed in the 1990s, are still adequate. It has yet to reach a conclusion.

“The installation of smart meters‚ which is causing havoc with electricity bills all across Johannesburg‚ must be stopped until a reputable authority can verify the devices and the process‚” the party’s caucus leader‚ Councillor Vasco Da Gama‚ said.  He said angry residents had been receiving “hugely inflated bills”‚ which could be attributed to the not being “properly calibrated‚ resulting in erratic readings”. “In addition‚ smart meter readings rely on cellphone signals‚ which is problematic because in some parts of the city‚ signals from the different networks are not always strong enough‚ resulting in makeshift solutions‚” said Da Gama. “These smart meters should have approval from the South African Bureau of Standards and the National Energy Regulator of SA.”  Da Gama criticised the city’s reaction in Mayibuye in Ivory Park where “newly installed smart meters have been removed after community uproar”.  “City Power bridged the system for residents to receive electricity‚ which is unmetered and free of charge until other arrangements are made‚” said Da Gama‚ adding that this was no solution.  Da Gama said the issue of legal action had been raised by residents and engineersm and that he “was seeking further expert advice on this route”.  “But there can be no doubt that the people are angry”.

Appel : la Justice fait définitivement droit à une Électrosensible, le handicap est reconnu !  L’appel de la MDPH (Maison Départementale des Personnes Handicapées) contre le jugement du Tribunal du Contentieux de l’incapacité de Toulouse de juillet 2015 reconnaissant le droit à une allocation pour le handicap « d’électrosensibilité » vient d’être rejeté.  Le jugement faisant état du « Syndrome d’hyper sensibilité aux ondes électromagnétiques » précisant « la description des signes cliniques irréfutables » et la déficience fonctionnelle de la plaignante Marine Richard évaluée à 85% est définitivement confirmé !  Une allocation pour adulte handicapé de 800€ par mois lui est donc attribuée par décision de justice pour trois ans renouvelables en fonction de l’évolution de son handicap. 
Marine Richard a récemment publié « Sans Mobile » aux éditions « Le Square ». Elle a été journaliste, poète et auteure dramatique ; elle a été deux fois primée
par le Centre National du Théâtre.

Abstract

BACKGROUND: Microwaves from mobile phones are one of the environmental toxicants that are capable of compromising male fertility by inducing oxidative stress and apoptosis in the testes. Melatonin is a lipophilic tryptophan indole amine and a potent antioxidant.

OBJECTIVES: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of melatonin treatment on oxidative stress parameters and DNA fragmentation in the testicular tissue of rats exposed to microwave radiation (4 h/day).

MATERIAL AND METHODS: Adult Wistar rats were divided in 4 groups: I - treated with saline; II - treated with melatonin; III - exposed to microwaves; IV - exposed to microwaves and treated with melatonin. The melatonin (2 mg/kg ip) was administered daily. The animals were sacrificed after 20, 40 and 60 days.

RESULTS: Melatonin treatment prevented previously registered increases in malondialdehyde after only 20 days. Furthermore, it reversed the effects of microwave exposure on xanthine oxidase (after 40 days) and acid-DNase activity (after 20 days). However, neither protein carbonyl content nor catalase and alkaline Dnase activity were changed due to melatonin treatment.

CONCLUSIONS: Melatonin exerts potent antioxidant effects in the testes of rats exposed to microwaves by decreasing the intensity of oxidative stress; it also reduces DNA fragmentation.

Excerpts

The animals were exposed to MWs for 20, 40 and 60 days (4 h per day during the light period). The MWs were produced by a Nokia 3110 mobile test phone (Nokia Mobile Phones Ltd.) .... During MW exposure, 8  rats were able to move freely in a  100% plastic cage without any metallic fittings. A  continuous wave near-field electromagnetic signal (900 MHz) for the Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) was used for the purposes of the experiment ... Electric field intensity (E) ranged from 9.88 V/m  to 18.356 V/m, and magnetic field intensity (B) ranged from 4.68 mT to 8.69 mT. The whole-body specific energy absorption rate (SAR) was estimated at 0.043–0.135 W/kg using data for a rotating ellipsoidal rat model.

The animals were divided in 4 experimental groups. Each group consisted of 21 animals housed in 3 cages (7 animals in each). Group I (the control group) consisted of rats treated with 0.9 % saline; Group II (Mel) consisted of rats treated with melatonin (2 mg per kg–1 body weight by IP injection); Group III (MWs) comprised rats exposed to MWs; and Group IV (MWs + Mel) was made up of rats exposed to MWs and treated with melatonin (2 mg per kg–1 body weight by IP injection). The melatonin was administered every morning at 08.00 AM. as proposed by Drago et al. [14]. The melatonin was administered intraperitoneally in a single dose of 2 mg/kg–1 in order to avoid the neuromodulatory effect of melatonin. In the control rats, isotonic saline solution (equal to the volume of melatonin) was given intraperitoneally every day during the follow-up.

According to the results of the present study, melatonin caused a significant decrease in oxidative stress intensity, reflected in the decrease in MDA levels. In addition to this, melatonin caused a  reversal of the effects of MW radiation on XO activity in the testicular tissue, lowering XO-induced oxidative stress. On the other hand, melatonin showed no significant ability to reverse the effects of MW exposure on catalase levels in testicular tissue. However, melatonin caused a  significant decrease in acid DNase activity, reflecting reduced amounts of apoptosis in the testicular tissue exposed to MWs. In conclusion, melatonin exerts potent protective effects in the testes of rats exposed to microwaves by decreasing oxidative stress intensity and DNA fragmentation.

Abstract

This review aims to cover experimental data on oxidative effects of low-intensity radiofrequency radiation (RFR) in living cells.
Analysis of the currently available peer-reviewed scientific literature reveals molecular effects induced by low-intensity RFR in living cells; this includes significant activation of key pathways generating reactive oxygen species (ROS), activation of peroxidation, oxidative damage of DNA and changes in the activity of antioxidant enzymes. It indicates that among 100 currently available peer-reviewed studies dealing with oxidative effects of low-intensity RFR, in general, 93 confirmed that RFR induces oxidative effects in biological systems. A wide pathogenic potential of the induced ROS and their involvement in cell signaling pathways explains a range of biological/health effects of low-intensity RFR, which include both cancer and non-cancer pathologies.
In conclusion, our analysis demonstrates that low-intensity RFR is an expressive oxidative agent for living cells with a high pathogenic potential and that the oxidative stress induced by RFR exposure should be recognized as one of the primary mechanisms of the biological activity of this kind of radiation.
Conclusions

The analysis of modern data on biological effects of lowi-ntensity RFR leads to a firm conclusion that this physical agent is a powerful oxidative stressor for living cell. The oxidative efficiency of RFR can be mediated via changes in activities of key ROS-generating systems, including mitochondria and non-phagocytic NADH oxidases, via direct effects on water molecules, and via induction of conformation changes in biologically important macromolecules. In turn, a broad biological potential of ROS and other free radicals, including both their mutagenic effects and their signaling regulatory potential, makes RFR a potentially hazardous factor for human health. We suggest minimizing the intensity and time of RFR exposures, and taking a precautionary approach towards wireless technologies in everyday human life.

Il bello è che disturba per le luci rosse ad intermittenza che sono posizionate alla cima !

Tutto è nato dalla denuncia del proprietario vicino al terreno utilizzato per l'insediamento di questa stazione radiobase, per disturbo privato arrecato .

Ovviamente faranno ricorso ai livelli giudiziali più alti, ma , a pensarci ...

Scuola Pubblica americana impone criteri restrittivi per uso del wifi

In una scuola pubblica a Ashland (Massachusetts) dopo sollecitazione da parte dei genitori e indagine sul reale livello di rischio per i bambini ed il loro personale, lo staff dirigenziale ha deciso per introdurre delle regole restrittive all'uso del wifi nella scuola.

 Turn off the device when not in use
- Turn Wi-Fi on only when needed
- Always place the mobile device on a solid surface
- Viewing distance should be a minimum of 12 inches from the screen
- Specific product information guides are available through the IT department
- We ask that staff members regularly remind and instruct students in using best practices in regards to mobile devices

Israele: il rapporto annuale 2014 del Ministro della Salute invita alla prudenza



Il Rapporto annuale sul ambiente e benessere del Ministro competente israeliano tra le sue 95 pagine riporta:


  • Precauzione deve essere attivata in modo deciso riguardo ai bambini che sono più sensibili allo sviluppo di cancro.


  • Inoltre il Ministro per la Salute raccomanda un uso di cellulari moderato  pensando alla alternative di telefonia fissa, uso di sistemi viva voce ed altro.

  • Non mettere antenne wifi nella camera dei bambini.

  • Nelle scuole si raccomanda di tenere i ragazzi a distanza superiore di 1,5 m. da antenne wifi.
  • Ridurre l'uso di cellulari in auto o negli ascensori, o nel bus, o nei treni perch? la radiazione è amplificata.

Studi scientifici anche svolti in Israele evidenziano una relazione tra uso del cellular per più di 10 anni e tumori delle ghiandole salivari ed altro.

Il rapporto conclude con una affermazione molto significativa dal  Director of the US National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and National Toxicology Program:  Israele è leader mondiale negli studi sugli effetti di radiazione non ionizzanti sulla salute. Se alcuni lavori danno dei segnali premonitori per qualcosa che potrà avvenire, noi potremmo avere delle conseguenze molto più gravi per uno sviluppo continuo ed onnipresente di fonti di radiofrequenze.

The Report makes the following points:

Cell Phones: "The MoH recommends sensible use of cellular and wireless technology, including: considering alternatives like landline telephones" MoH recommendations include: use a speaker or hands-free phone accessory or (non-wireless) personal earphone in order to distance the telephone from the body, reduce the amount and duration of calls, and in areas of weak reception reduce calls because of higher radiation.

Children: MoH recommends: "refraining from installing the base of wireless phones in a bedroom, work room, or children’s room."

Schools: Levels of non-ionizing radiation were measured in 25 schools nation-wide and "based on these findings, the MoEP recommends that students remain at a distance of at least 1.5 meters from electrical cabinets and that use of wireless communication networks in schools be reduced."

Reduce Exposure in Cars: The MoH recommends not using cellphones in closed places like cars or elevators, buses, and trains unless there is an external antenna "due to amplified radiation in such places." "When driving, a hands-free device should be used for calls. It is recommended to install an antenna outside the vehicle and to use a line connection between the telephone and the speaker as opposed to using Bluetooth."

Research: Previous research findings in Israel "clearly indicated a link between cellphone use for more than 10 years and the development of tumors in the salivary glands." Israel is currently a partner in two additional international studies: (1) MOBI-Kids, a multi-center study involving experts from 16 countries who are examining potential associations between use of communication devices and other environmental factors and risk of brain tumors, and (2) the GERoNiMO (Generalised EMF Research using Novel Methods) project, which uses an integrated approach and expertise from 13 countries to further the state of knowledge on EMF and health.

The Report concludes with a chapter by Linda S. Birnbaum, Director of the US National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and National Toxicology Program, who states, "Israel is a world leader in research on the health effects of non-ionizing radiation. If some of the studies turn out to be harbingers of things to come, we may have major health consequences from the nearly ubiquitous presence of wireless equipment."

New Public Education Website: The Israeli government launched the public education website TNUDA (http://www.tnuda.org.il) of the National Information Center for Non-Ionizing Radiation <http://www.tnuda.org.il/>  to guide the public and decision-makers on the educated use of technology.

Guidelines for the installation and operation of Wi-Fi networks in schools: Following a petition seeking an outright ban on Wi-Fi in Schools, the government is banning Wi-Fi in kindergartens and restricting hours of use in schools, installing equipment with exposures to be set as low as possible, and monitoring radiofrequency (RF) radiation levels.

Government Testing Finds that Mobile Phones Violate Manufacturers’ Reported SAR: In a study conducted by the Ministry for Environmental Protection and the Holon Institute of Technology, the SAR of 10 models of mobile phones was measured using phantoms. The measured SAR exceeded the SAR declared by the manufacturer, when the phone was held close to the head and in bad reception mode (100% of the maximum power).

ELF EMF limits are recommended at numbers far below international limits. These recommendations were set to account for research showing links to leukemia. "The Ministry of Health (MoH) jointly recommend a threshold of two milligauss on an average annual basis when planning an electrical facility or four milligauss on a daily average." A study performed by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and by the Education Ministry has found that in more than 60% of the schools in Israel at least one classroom had magnetic fields exceeding 0.4 ?T. Action was taken to reduce exposure in these schools.

Headsets and safety information required with every new mobile phone: According to a settlement agreement accepted by the Tel Aviv-Yafo District Court in February 2014, cellular operators must inform buyers of new mobile phones about the radiation safety instructions as formulated by the manufacturer, provide a hands-free kit with every new mobile phone, and provide information on the safe use of mobile phones on its website.

National radiofrequency monitoring program: The Ministry of Environmental Protection is operating a national RF monitoring system with stations that continuously measure the entire range of RF and transmit the data to a central computer that analyzes and displays online the results of measurements <http://www.monitem.co.il/gmap/index.html> .

Effetti del Wifi sul sistema cardiovascolare




In questo recente articolo,viene dimostrato un chiaro effetto delle frequenze emesse dai sistemi Wi-Fi  sulla variabilità del ritmo e della pressione sanguigna in animali esposti nell'ambito di una procedura randomizzata.
Questo dato conferma I noti effetti sul sistema cardiovascolare dell'uomo espresso dale radiofrequenze e microonde. In particolare M.Havas in sperimentazioni sull'uomo, ha messo in evidenza come proprio la frequenza a 2.4 gHz tipica del WI-FI ( e del forno a microonde) sia in grado di alterare il sistema nervosa autonomo che governa l'attività cardiaca.
I bambini che frequentano scuole elementari e medie  rischiano di avere seriamente compromessa l'attività bioelettrica di una pompa vitale come quella cardiaca. Pertanto si rende necessario applicare con massima urgenza il principio di precauzione eliminando questi pericolosi sistemi di trasmissione con la cablatura a filo,come raccomanda da tempo sia il Parlamento Europeo che il Consiglio d'Europa. Prima che sia troppo tardi.....

I computer non aiutano ... a scuola !

E' quanto conclude uno studio dell'OECD (OCSE) secondo il quale si erano riposte tante speranze che i tablet avrebbero migliorato la capacità di apprendimento ed i risultati scolastici dei ragazzi.

Qui  ne parla un giornalista della BBC basandosi su questo studio .

Ne parla addirittura il Direttore per la Educazione dell'OECD :  gli insegnanti sono stati 'abbagliati' dalle possibilità promesse dall'informatica in aula !

Viene detto che gli studenti che hanno in mano tablet e computer danno risultati inferiori !!!

Commissione Ambiente del Parlamento di Cipro

Viene riportata una intervista ad un membro del partito dei Verdi nel Parlamento di Cipro che chiede al Parlamento una forte riduzione dei limiti espositivi come da Raccomandazione della CE del 1999.

La massima attenzione va dedicata ai danni conclamati da vari stuti sia fisici che psicologici per il tanto tempo dedicato dagli adolescenti al computer.  Con l'aggravante del wifi in casa e a scuola.

Following the fifth Paris Appeal congress, which took place on the 18th of May, 2015 and focused on environmental hypersensitivities, the attending European, American and Canadian scientists unanimously decided to create a working group and to write a Common International Declaration to request an official recognition of these new diseases and of their sanitary consequences worldwide.
 
The declaration calls upon national and international bodies and institutions and particularly the WHO, for taking urgently their responsibility for recognizing electrohypersensitivity and multiple chemical sensitivity as real diseases, including them in the International Classification of Diseases.
 
This International Declaration also asks national and international institutions to adopt simple precautionary measures of prevention, to inform populations and requires the appointment of real independent expert groups to evaluate these sanitary risks in total scientific objectivity, which is not the case today.

Aggiornamento sui megaprogetti di connessione via satellite

 In my last newsletter, dated November l5, 2014, I wrote about plans to put Wi-Fi everywhere. Those who responded, asking "How can I help?” are now the core of a new organization called GUARDS. It stands for Global Union Against Radiation Deployment  from Space. Its members live in Canada, the U.S., Italy, the U.K., Norway, France, Greece, and Australia. 

The danger is greater and closer at hand than we thought. There will be not just hundreds, but thousands of satellites. Billions of dollars have already been invested. And the sheer numbers of planned rocket launches threaten to contribute to global warming and ozone depletion.
GUARDS 
The (so far) eight companies seeking to rain high-speed Internet on
every square inch of the world before 2020 are:

  •  SpaceX: 4,OOO satellites, altitude 750 miles.Testing to begin in 2016.                                              
  •  OneWeb: 2,400satellites (648 satellites initially),altitude 500-590 miles. target start-up date, 2018-2019.   
  •  Facebook: Satellites, drones and lasers 
  •  Google: 200,000(?) high altitude balloons (at 62,500 feet)(“Project Loon") 
  •  Samsung: 4,600 satellites, altitude 930 miles                               
  •  Iridium Next: 66 satellites, altitude 483 miles. Iridium's satellite hotspot, called 'Iridium GO," providing slow speeds, has been available for purchase since January 2014. Launching of the "next generation" (higher speed) to satellites is scheduled begin in October 2015 and to be completed by 2017.                     
  •  Globalstar: 24 satellites, altitude 880 miles. Also slow speed, and  also already in operation. As an incentive to buy its “Sat-Fi" access points, Globalstar is offering free satellite phones until September 30,20l5                              
  •  Outernet: 200 nanosatellites (4-inch cubes), altitude 560 miles Target start-up date, 2019.          

 The name of the game is competition. The stakes are high, and there is plenty of money to be made. Four and one half billion human beings are not yet in on social media. We may well face several large fleets of satellites providing high speed wireless Internet to penguins.   
        Virgin Galactic and Qualcom have invested in OneWeb's project. Honeywell International has already signed a memorandum of understanding to become OneWeb's first large customer. It plans to provide WiFi on business, commercial, and military aircraft throughout the world. At right is a press image from OneWeb's website.                                       
       Google is pouring money into every potential method of providing global wireless Internet. In addition to Project Loon, which would provide Wi-Fi from balloons,  Google bought Titan Aerospace, which makes high-altitude drones, in April 2014. Google is also investing heavily in Elon Musk's SpaceX project. Google and Fidelity Investments together have sunk one billion dollars in Musk's scheme to Wi-Fi the Earth and Mars.Yes,Mars. South African born billionaire  Musk hopes to plant a colony on the red planet within ten years, and intends to provide high speed Internet to both planets.                                         
       Samsung officially joined the fray last week, providing more details than any of its     
competitors. The just-published article titled ”Mobile lnternet from the Heavens" by Sarnsung  engineer Farooq Khan reveals a plan to put 4,600 satellites into orbit at an altitude of 1,500 kilometers (930 miles), and transmitting at a frequency of 56 GHz. The antenna details are frightening. Each satellite will have phased array antennas with 1,024 elements, an actual power of5l2 watts, and an effective radiated power of one hundred million watts.

Are ‘WiFi allergies’ a real thing? A quick guide to electromagnetic hypersensitivity

Science is nowhere near convinced that “WiFi allergies” are legit. But the French legal system is apparently far more credulous: Last week, it ruled that a 39-year-old woman is eligible for nearly $900/month in disability benefits because of her struggles with so-called “electromagnetic hypersensitivity.”
It’s one of the first times a court of law has recognized EHS, or “electromagnetic hypersensitivity syndrome” — which is incredible, given that actual, hard evidence linking adverse health affects and WiFi signals is pretty negligible. Below, a quick review of what we do and don’t know about the world’s most mysterious “allergy,” with advice for those of you on the verge of chucking your router entirely.

What is EHS?

EHS is, essentially, a grab-bag of physical symptoms with no known cause. Sufferers of EHS, estimated as “several” per million people, tend to experience some combination of physical symptoms like nausea, headaches, palpitations, fatigue and rashes/other dermatological problems, often at the same time. (Less commonly, they may also complain of confusion, memory loss, panic attacks  and the like.)
Researchers and public health officials have documented these symptoms: They’re definitely real, and patients aren’t making them up. EHS, to be clear, is a real syndrome, and the international health community has recognized it as such.
The problem with EHS is that “E” bit: multiple double-blind studies have suggested that, despite anecdotal reports, EHS has no relation to electromagnetic or radio-frequency signals. In fact, the World Health Organization has concluded that there’s no known “medical, psychiatric or psychological” cause for the syndrome, at all. At the conclusion of a ground-breaking, global workshop on the science of EHS in 2004, WHO suggested renaming EHS to “idiopathic environmental intolerance with attribution to EMF,” or electromagnetic fields” — a mouthful that makes it clear that the symptoms’ relationship to EMF is unclear.

How do we not know what causes it?

We don’t know its causes  because its symptoms are so fantastically common. In medical terms, these are called “nonspecific symptoms”: symptoms that can indicate a ton of different problems. A headache can indicate, for instance, that you drank too much coffee this morning; it’s also a sign of meningitis, carbon monoxide poisoning  and the literal plague. (Nonspecific symptoms are basically the reason that using WebMD can be very scary.)
EHS poses that problem several times over: A lot of things could cause each of these symptoms, and different sufferers manifest (or don’t) the symptoms differently.

What are the leading theories?

There are two primary schools of thought here: The first, that environmental conditions that are not Wifi could trigger EHS; and the second, that it represents a sort of reverse-placebo effect.
WHO has compiled a whole laundry list of environmental factors that could cause EHS symptoms, including the “flicker” of fluorescent lights and the glare from screens, and recommended that sufferers engage the services of someone who can evaluate their work environment for issues like indoor air pollution and excessive noise.

They also recommend that patients see a psychologist or psychiatrist — a proposal in which they’re not alone. Writing in the Guardian earlier this year, James Rubin and Simon Wessely of King’s College London call EHS an instance of the “nocebo effect,” in which people tend to feel sick because they believe they’ve been exposed to something that will sicken them. In one experiment, the pair showed half of their subjects an episode of the BBC series “Panorama,” which alleged that WiFi signals were harmful. They then exposed the whole group to a fake WiFi signal and waited to see who would get sick. The ones who watched the documentary were far more likely to develop EHS symptoms.
That echoes findings from WHO, which suspects that symptoms can be caused by “pre-existing psychiatric conditions as well as stress reactions as a result of worrying about believed EMF health effects.”

What does the French ruling mean?

To that last point about the stress of EMF health effects, the French ruling could be pretty damaging. By essentially ruling that EHS is a disability, the court legitimized claims that WiFi and other electromagnetic and radio-frequency signals  can cause adverse health effects. If more people begin to worry about that claim, more people could certainly develop EHS.
The French ruling also adds to a growing body of global legal precedent on EHS and its legitimacy. Courts in Australia have already awarded workers’ comp to EHS patients. In Sweden, the syndrome is officially classified as a “functional impairment,” which affords sufferers a range of legal protections and accommodations. (No such steps have been taken in the U.S., where — just this spring — a court in New Mexico threw out a $1.43 million lawsuit over the alleged health effects of iPhone and Wifi signals.)
Perhaps most importantly for sufferers, however, the French ruling affirms that they’re not making all this up. That’s a big deal to a group of people who often say they feel marginalized by their disorder. In March, New York magazine ran a fascinating interview with a woman who says she’s suffered EHS symptoms since 2009: “It takes a lot of energy to not to get depressed by it,” she said. “People say that the electro-sensitive are crazy.”

Soo … should I turn off my WiFi/throw my iPhone into the sea?

Probably not, no. Using WiFi, we can say with some confidence, will not cause you to develop EHS. Unfortunately, we don’t know if that means WiFi and cell signals are 100 percent, totally safe across the board. There isn’t a whole lot of long-term research, and questions remain around fuzzy links between, say, cellphone signals and infertility. In general, however, the advice from the medical community has been pretty comforting: The radio-frequency signals you encounter in your daily life are (a) extremely weak and (b) not damaging.
If you don’t believe me, of course, there’s a growing body of people who’d love to tell you exactly how dangerous WiFi signals and their ilk can be. An entire industry has grown up, in fact, around selling bracelets and blankets and blockers and pills that “negate” or “disrupt” electromagnetic energy. The great irony, of course, is that by hyping these so-called health risks, hucksters just make people more nervous — and thus clear new ground for EHS.

Un articolo su Forbes su cover che ci protegge dal cellulare

Sulla prestigiosa rivista americana Forbes, viene riportato un 'lungo' articolo su un nuovo prodotto che protegge la persona dall'uso del telefono cellulare.

Ovviamente ha una motivazione anche pubblicitaria ma è rilevante che questa rivista lo abbia pubblicata (chi la conosce comprende cosa voglio dire) ...

Un commento di AIE sullo sviluppo della elettrosensibilità

Cari amici,

la notizia è rimbalzata a livello mediatico internazionale e nazionale: il risarcimento (pensione d'invalidità) per una donna francese "devastata" dalle esposizioni alle radiazioni eletromagnetcihe artificiali che ormai incessantemente ammorbano l'etere senza soluzione di continuità: wi-fi, tablet, smartphone, cellulari, cordeless, stazioni radio-base di telefonia mobile, ecc... In allegato troverete un grafico pubblicato sulla rivista Bioelectromagnetics da parte di due ricercatori europei. Il dato in proiezione che emerge è sconcertante. Se il numero di persone che accusano i sintomi dell'elettrosensibilità continuerà a crescere linearmente (in base a indagini epidemiologiche condotte nel mondo) si prevede per il 2017 una percentuale pari al 50% della popolazione ammalata.
Non avete idea di quante persone (disperate e totalmente abbandonate  a se stesse) giornalmente chiamano la nostra associazione per chiedere aiuto in esito ai sintomi accusati per esposizioni a diversificate sorgenti che emettono campi elettromagnetici.
Facciamo come possiamo, ascoltando, consolando, incoraggiando e organizzando.

Mi domandavo: con la scriteriata e criminale diffusione del wi-fi (per il quale vi sono 18 pubblicazioni scientifiche che riportano effetti biologico/sanitari...) nelle nostre scuole elementari/ medie e superiori quanti altri invalidi potremmo attenderci negli anni a seguire?

Attenzione ai maschi ! pericoli dal cellulare !!!

Viene riportato da una importante rivista urologica internazionale, uno studio che forse metterà in allarme gli utenti maschi della telefonia cellulare ...

...  sebbene siano noti una decina di articoli scientifici che dimostrano la relazione tra la mobilità spermatica e le radiofrequenze, questo studio associa la disfunzione erettile con l'uso del telefono cellulare.

Chissà se l'utente - al quale  giammai potesse arrivare questa informazione -  sicuramente non  allarmato dal calo della efficienza dello sperma (una delle cause del calo delle  nascite ) , entrerà in fibrillazione per la possibilità di danno ... diretto alla sua ... mascolinità!

Abstract

INTRODUCTION: The objective of this pilot study was to report our experience concerning the effects of cell phone usage on erectile
function (EF) in men.

MATERIAL AND METHODS: We recruited 20 consecutive men complaining of erectile dysfunction (ED) for at least six months (Group A), and
another group of 10 healthy men with no complaints of ED (Group B). Anamnesis, basic laboratory investigations, and clinical examinations
were performed. All men completed the German version of the Sexual Health Inventory for Men (SHIM) for evaluation of the International
Index of Erectile Function (IIEF), as well as another questionnaire designed by our clinicians that assessed cell phone usage habits.

RESULTS: There was no significant difference between both groups regarding age, weight, height, and total testosterone (Table 1). The SHIM
scores of Group A were significantly lower than that of Group B, 11.2 ±5 and 24.2 ±2.3, respectively. Total time spent talking on the cell
phone per week was not significantly higher in Group A over B, 17.6 ±11.1 vs. 12.5 ±7 hours. Men with ED were found to carry their
'switched on' cell phones for a significantly longer time than those without ED, 4.4 ±3.6 hours per day vs.1.8 ±1 hours per day.

CONCLUSIONS: We found a potential correlation with cell phone usage and a negative impact on EF. Further large-scale studies confirming
our initial data and exploring the mechanisms involved in this phenomenon are recommended.

Un tribunale francese riconosce la elettrosensibilità

Trasmetto copia del verdetto del tribunale :  tribunal du Contentieux de l'incapacité de Toulouse                  
secondo il quale viene riconosciuta la incapacità dell'85% di una donna 39enne che aveva fatto ricorso dopo decisione negativa  dell'ente statale francese per la disabilità.

Sembrerebbe che sia il primo caso ...

Insediato il Comitato Interministeriale su inquinamento elettromagnetico


Commento: dopo ben 14 anni finalmente il ministero dell'ambiente ha fatto un altro passo di realizzazione dei vari decreti attuativi previsti dalla legge 36 del 2001.  Meglio tardi che mai !

Stanno arrivando al Ministro note e sollecitazioni dalle varie associazioni.

Sotto il comunicato stampa del Ministero dell'Ambiente

5 AGO - Si è insediato al ministero dell'Ambiente il Comitato interministeriale per la prevenzione e la riduzione dell'inquinamento elettromagnetico. Lo rende noto il dicastero precisando che erano presenti il ministro dell'Ambiente Gian Luca Galletti, i sottosegretari alla Difesa Gioacchino Alfano, al lavoro Teresa Bellanova, all'Interno Gianpiero Bocci, ai Beni Culturali Ilaria Borletti Buitoni, alla Salute Vito De Filippo, all'Istruzione Gabriele Toccafondi, allo Sviluppo Economico Simona Vicari.

Il comitato spiega il dicastero dell'Ambiente "è chiamato ad affrontare il problema dell'inquinamento elettromagnetico sotto diversi aspetti: nell'ambito della sicurezza sul lavoro, della tutela di ambiente, salute e paesaggio, della promozione della ricerca scientifica per valutare gli effetti dell'esposizione a determinati livelli di campi elettrici magnetici ed elettromagnetici. La legge quadro 36 del 2001, che istituisce il comitato, si applica agli impianti, ai sistemi, alle apparecchiature per usi civili, militari, delle forze di polizia, agli elettrodotti e agli impianti radioelettrici, compresi quelli per telefonia mobile, per radiodiffusione e ai radar".

Nella prima riunione, conclude il dicastero, è stata svolta un'analisi dello schema della relazione informativa annuale da trasmettere al Parlamento sulle attività svolte nel 2014 sotto il profilo amministrativo, normativo, di controllo e monitoraggio delle sorgenti di campi elettromagnetici.
